Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Radiography Technologist to perform radiographic procedures at Saint Annes Hospital in Fall River, MA. You will assist physicians, ensure patient safety, and document imaging details in RIS/HIS systems.

The role requires Massachusetts radiography licensure or ARRT-equivalent certification, strong patient communication, and a commitment to radiation safety and quality care across all ages. On-site work with day shifts and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Certificate Program in Radiography or Associate in Science Degree.
• Typical required licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for Radiography.
• ARRT certification or equivalent renewals; ready for ongoing professional development.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures, safety, and positioning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, identify, position, protect and apply radiographic technique for imaging procedures.
• Document accurate patient and procedure information using RIS/HIS systems.
• Assist physicians in fluoroscopic and interventional procedures; prepare contrast as needed.
• Use proper techniques to minimize radiation exposure and adapt care for patient age groups.

SUMMARY

Provides health care services, applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. RESPONSIBILITIES

1. 1.Preparation, identification, positioning, protection and radiographic techniqueiDemonstrates competence in the preparation, identification, positioning, protection and radiographic technique of all imaging procedures.
2. 2. Computer SystemUses computer system (RIS/HIS) to document accurate and timely patient/procedure information to ensure efficient quality patient care.
3. 3. Preparation/Set-UpiAssists physicians in fluoroscopicnterventional procedures and prepares contrast as needed. Ensures that imaging rooms are properly set up and functional before physician begins procedure
4. 4. TechniqueiEmployee uses proper techniques that minimize radiation exposure to self, patients the general public and other health care personnel. Modifies care according to patient’s age.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Education Requirements:Graduate of Certificate Program in Radiography or Associate in Science Degree
• Minimum Work Experience:One to three years experience preferred, but not required
• Other skills and abilities:Knowledge of radiographic procedures, equipment operation, radiation safety,positioning techniques, patient transfers, good communication skills, ability tohandle multiple tasks/projects, ethical and professional conduct, good understandingof age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics. Flexibility to work overtime as needed as well as on-call duty, weekend rotations. Interest in participating in orientation/clinical education of student radiographers in accordance with clinical education center guidelines for radiologic technology program(s).
• Equipment/Software/Certification:Certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in radiography, or equivalent. Renewed annually. Licensure by theCommonwealthofMassachusettsin Radiography. Renewed biannually

Pay Range

$32.43-$47.66
