Job summary

Brown University Health in Fall River, MA seeks an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners, prepare patients of all ages, and provide high-quality imaging per protocol.

You will support clinical education for radiography students and collaborate with licensed practitioners to ensure accurate, safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MRI procedures and protocols, equipment operation and positioning techniques.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, communicate well, and act professionally.
• Understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across newborn to geriatric populations.
• Operate MRI scanner using approved protocols to produce diagnostic images.
• Assist in orientation/clinical education of radiography students as per guidelines.

SUMMARY:Provides health care services, applying operational procedures of equipment being used to produce detailed images of the patient to assist in diagnosis or treatmentPrepares and operates scanner utilizing approved protocols and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitionerProvide appropriate patient care (newborn, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric). The core Success Factors include:Instill Trust and Value DifferencesPatient and Community Focus and CollaborateRESPONSIBILITIES:0MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of MRI procedures and protocols, equipment operation, positioning techniques, patient transfers, good communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks/projects, ethical and professional conduct, good understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics.Flexibility to work overtime as needed as well as on-call duty, weekend rotationsInterest in participating in orientation/clinical education of students in accordance with clinical education center guidelines for MRI and radiologic technology program(s).One to three years related experience required.EDUCATION:Certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in radiography, and Magnetic Resonance ImagingCurrent BLS certification requiredI.V. Certification preferredMassachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) licenseAssociate in Science Degree, Graduate of Certificate Program in Radiography or Accredited Radiography Program (School of Radiological Technology) or equivalent

Pay Range:

$41.08-$60.53
