Utility Supply & Construction Company is seeking a Safety & Training Support Specialist to join our growing team, dedicated to safeguarding employees and improving training programs. You will create, organize, and maintain safety policies, track certifications, and prepare reports for meetings.

The role requires strong communication, organizational abilities, and the willingness to travel to field sites as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain safety and training documents, policies, and materials.
• Maintain records of safety certifications, training schedules, and compliance data.
• Prepare reports and presentations for safety meetings.
• Plan and coordinate safety and training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Ensure training materials are accessible for instructors and staff.
• Track participation and completion of required safety courses.
• Support implementation of safety programs and communicate procedures.
• Create and update safety documents, manuals, and emergency plans.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA and local safety regulations.
• Keep records and training programs up to date for regulatory compliance.
• Assist with information for safety audits and inspections.
• Serve as a point of contact for safety/training questions.
• Collaborate with safety professionals and supervisors to meet training needs.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of safety and training documentation, including policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Maintain accurate records of employee safety certifications, training schedules, and compliance data.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for safety and training meetings.
• Support the planning, scheduling, and coordination of safety and training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Ensure all training materials and resources are available for instructors and employees.
• Assist in tracking employee participation and completion of required safety courses and certifications.
• Support the implementation of safety programs and initiatives, helping to communicate safety procedures and policies to employees.
• Help create, prepare and update safety and training documents, manuals, emergency response plans, and other relevant department documentation.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA and industry-specific standards.
• Ensure all necessary records, certifications, and training programs are up to date and in compliance with regulations.
• Help compile information and prepare documentation for safety audits and regulatory inspections.
• Serve as a point of contact for employees with safety and training-related questions.
• Collaborate with safety professionals, training managers, and department supervisors to ensure training needs are met.
• Provide timely and clear communication to employees regarding safety initiatives, training schedules, and any updates to safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or relevant certification in Communications, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
• 1-3 years of experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in a safety or training environment.
• Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to provide clear guidance and training.
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, decision making, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to use safety management or training tracking software.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments and travel to various job sites as needed.
