Job summary

City of Lake City seeks a dedicated Safety Program Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the City’s safety program and training initiatives. The role reports to the City Manager and closely collaborates with the ADA Risk-Safety Manager and other directors.

Responsibilities include formulating training modules, coordinating sessions with employees and stakeholders, inspecting safety procedures, and maintaining safety records.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Three years of experience in industrial safety are required.
• Combination of education and experience may be used in lieu of degree.
• Must have a valid Florida Driver's License.
• CJIS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Administers and coordinates safety programs and training for the City.
• Develops training modules and schedules educational programs.
• Conducts safety training with employees, department heads, attorneys, insurers, etc.
