Job summary

Gateway Church seeks a Safety Training Lead to design and deliver the Safety Services training for part-time officers, Plain Clothes and Medical Serve Teams, and contractors. The role partners with instructors to meet state licensing and training requirements and coordinates campus-wide drills and safety protocols.

You will onboard new members, maintain certification records, and collaborate with campus leaders to ensure effective safety training aligned with the ministry calendar.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years in security, law enforcement, military, or emergency response with training experience.
• Current or able-to-obtain Texas Level IV Private Security License required.
• Instructor certification in de-escalation, first aid/CPR, active threat response, or similar preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or prior church training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns and updates the Safety Services training curriculum.
• Coordinate de-escalation, emergency response, medical basics, and safety protocols training.
• Onboard new team members and track certifications and licensing.
• Maintain training records and conduct drills and after-action reviews.
• Support campus safety trainings for staff and Serve Teams and conduct site assessments.
