Job summary

Worthington Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to coordinate safety training, distribute safety materials, and serve as the point of contact on safety issues at the facility.

You will work with maintenance, operations, shipping & receiving, transformation and HR to ensure safety policies are followed. The role requires at least 1 year of manufacturing safety experience, knowledge of OSHA General Industry rules (ISO45001), and strong communication, leadership and organizational

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations (General Industry)
• ISO45001 familiarity is preferred
• Self-motivated with ability to work in a 24/7 facility (weekend work)
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Excellent written and oral communication; proficient with Windows-based software

Responsibilities

• Effectively lead new hire safety orientation and training.
• Coordinate safety activities and lead safety focus teams as needed.
• Collect safety-related data and submit to the corporate safety department.
• Act as point of contact for safety-related issues at the facility.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory laws and standards.
• Conduct safety-related and housekeeping inspections.
• Collaborate with workers' compensation coordinators when necessary.
• Interact with maintenance, operations, shipping & receiving, transformation and HR on safety matters
