Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory Safety Training group seeks an experienced trainer to deliver safety and industrial hygiene training, develop engaging materials, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts, create and administer examinations, and operate the Learning Management System while expanding a proactive safety culture across the workforce.

Qualifications

• Requires strong safety training and industrial hygiene background.
• Experience developing and delivering safety training and examinations.
• Formal training background including military instructors preferred.
• CSP and/or CIH professional certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize Safety Training through the workforce by conducting initial and continuing training on various Safety and Industrial Hygiene topics.
• Validate workforce knowledge through developing and coordinating Drills.
• Develop standard curriculum for use across the NNL program
• Develop and deliver recurring training programs
• Develop and conduct practical skills and qualification exams
• Conduct field surveillances and observations to validate knowledge retention and incorporate lessons learned.
