Job summary

Barcel USA LLC is seeking a Safety Technician / Coordinator to promote a culture of safety and ensure OSHA compliance across all regulations. You will develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, train employees and contractors, and conduct inspections to mitigate risks.

You will lead incident investigations, track corrective actions, and support emergency drills across manufacturing, sanitation, maintenance, and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as Safety Technician / Coordinator.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations (including 10-Hour OSHA course).
• Experience conducting inspections and safety program administration.

Responsibilities

• Support the communication and promotion of the safety model across departments.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures.
• Maintain safety documentation: procedures, inspections, training records, incident reports.
• Identify unsafe conditions and collaborate to correct them.
• Assist in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Monitor corrective actions from incidents using standardized tracking.
• Deliver annual and quarterly safety training on hazards and safety topics.
• Maintain the Safety Training Matrix and report training gaps.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and document findings.
• Verify operators are certified for powered industrial equipment and update the list.
• Organize emergency drills and support the Emergency Evacuation Plan.
• Inspect fire prevention and emergency systems for OSHA compliance.
• Promote fire prevention and safety education to avoid incidents.
• Foster a culture of safety and safe work practices.
• Serve as first aid responder for third shift and incident records.
