Job summary

Lennox is hiring for a safety-focused role in Illinois. The position involves inspecting work areas, ensuring compliance with safety policies, and maintaining safety equipment. You will sample and analyze hazards, support hazardous materials programs, and train employees in safety best practices.

Requires a foundation in biology/chemistry or related field, plus effective written and verbal communication. This is an hourly non-exempt role with competitive starting pay and rich benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Developing understanding to train others in safety policies and regulations.
• Practical knowledge of biology, environmental science, chemistry, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work areas and ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
• Maintain safety equipment supply and availability.
• Sample and analyze hazards such as chemicals, smoke, fumes, gases, noise and lighting.
• Assist with hazardous materials programs and regulatory interfaces.
• Train employees in correct safety practices and document records.
