Job summary

Lennox International is seeking a Safety Inspector in Romeoville, IL. Under general supervision, you will inspect work areas to ensure compliance with safety policies, document inspections, and support hazardous materials programs.

The role requires knowledge of biology, chemistry, and environmental science, plus ability to train others in safety procedures. The position is hourly, non-exempt with benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and paid leave.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a two year degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Requires at least 2 years related experience in safety, biology, environmental science, chemistry, or related fields.
• Must be able to train others in company, state and federal safety policies and regulations and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
• Document safety inspections and propose corrective procedures.
• Maintain safety equipment supply and records and assist with hazardous materials programs.
