Job Description
This role supports various Safety programs at our Kinston, NC manufacturing facility. The individual will assist in implementing corrective actions to improve safety, coordinate safety initiatives, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. The candidate must be able to administer policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide First Aid, CPR, AED as needed.
• Maintain first aid supplies and equipment.
• Manage incidents per the Kinston I.E.R.P. (fire alarms, severe weather, spills, etc.).
• Communicate with management, EHS leadership, and outside agencies.
• Manage safety records and files.
• Conduct compliance and safety training, including in DOJO.
• Organize and facilitate safety committee meetings.
• Enter safety work orders into the D7i system.
• Participate in behavior-based safety observations and audits.
• Conduct safety and environmental inspections and audits.
• Manage lockout/tagout documentation and training updates.
• Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Lead continuous improvement and Kaizen events.
• Document and upload safety and environmental data.
• Conduct weekly safety talks and organize safety standdowns.
• Oversee contractor safety programs, including gatefeed procedures.
• Handle hazardous waste, RCRA, DOT training, and activities.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Experience with EHS or similar fields.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Strict adherence to EHS policies.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of completing tasks timely.
