Job summary

Pasona Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Safety Technician to support EHS activities for large-scale semiconductor and industrial construction projects. This hands-on role conducts site inspections, identifies hazards, and helps ensure OSHA compliance on active sites.

Ideal candidate has 3–5 years in construction safety, OSHA 30 or higher, OSHA 1926/1910 knowledge, and experience working with contractors. Semiconductor or water treatment exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the Safety Manager, Project Manager, and construction teams in implementing project health and safety requirements
• Conduct daily jobsite inspections and surveillance to identify unsafe conditions and ensure proper use of PPE
• Identify, document, and coordinate corrective actions for potential safety hazards
• Conduct and support risk assessments, hazard analyses, and mitigation planning
• Support implementation and maintenance of project EHS programs, procedures, and databases
• Conduct Project Contractor Orientations and communicate project-specific safety expectations
• Perform project EHS audits and monitor completion of corrective actions
• Support incident reporting and investigations, including root-cause analysis and corrective-action follow-up
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, training records, and incident reports
• Conduct or support employee safety training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with project and OSHA safety requirements
• Provide EHS guidance and technical support to field and office personnel
• Research and interpret applicable OSHA and other safety regulations
• Track and report safety metrics and KPIs
• Support contractor management systems including ISNetworld and other client-required compliance platforms
• Work collaboratively with engineering, construction, commissioning, subcontractors, and project management teams

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Safety Technician to support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) activities for large-scale semiconductor and industrial construction projects in Phoenix, Arizona.

This is a hands-on, field-based position responsible for supporting safe project execution, conducting site inspections, identifying and mitigating hazards, supporting incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, client, and project-specific safety requirements.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of construction or industrial safety experience, strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, and experience working directly with contractors and project teams on active construction sites.

Experience in semiconductor, water treatment, wastewater, advanced manufacturing, or other complex industrial construction environments is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods on active construction sites
• Ability to occasionally work at heights, including ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and roofs
• Ability to wear required PPE and work in active construction environments
