Job summary

ABM Industries in Phoenix is seeking a Safety Technician to support the safe execution of electrical installations in a semiconductor environment. You will monitor activities for OSHA compliance, perform safety audits, and help maintain JHAs, permits, and training records.

This role requires strong communication, documentation, and the ability to work in fast-paced, high-risk environments. Certifications such as NFPA 70E and OSHA 30 are expected, with CHST or similar credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of safety experience in construction or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily activities to ensure OSHA, company, and site safety standards.

• Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks to crews and subcontractors.

• Track and report safety metrics to leadership.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Technician to support the safe execution of electrical installations in a semiconductor environment. This role is critical to maintaining compliance with safety standards, conducting inspections, and promoting a culture of safety across all phases of the project. The Safety Technician will work closely with project teams to identify hazards, implement controls, and ensure adherence to site-specific safety protocols.

Pay:$38-$42/hour

• Valid OSHA #510 (for construction side) or #511 (for operation side )


• Specialized safety training (e.g., HAZWOPER, ESS, NFPA 70E)


• Familiarity with semiconductor protocols a plus


• Strong communication and documentation skills


• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-risk environments with attention to detail


• Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software


• The candidate must have the following certifications: NFPA 70E and OSHA 30
