Job summary

PCI Services, LLC seeks a Safety Representative to promote and enforce safe work practices across construction sites and branch locations. You will assist with the Accident Prevention Plan, conduct site inspections, and participate in the Safety Committee to help prevent injuries and health hazards.

The role requires at least one year of construction safety experience, OSHA 30 certification, and the ability to work outdoors and lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in construction safety.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Displays strong verbal communication skills with an ability to convey information to employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside.
  • Physically able to perform assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds independently.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safe work practices and an injury-free culture on sites and at the branch.
  • Assist with PCI’s Accident Prevention Plan, policies, and procedures on job sites and at the branch through training and mitigation of unsafe practices.
  • Represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activities.
  • Identify, correct, and mitigate routine and non-routine safety and health hazards.
  • Ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted on time and in accordance with client requirements and expectations.
  • Coach employees to achieve compliance with accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety health hazards.
  • Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance.
  • Be responsible for investigation and evaluation of injuries and illnesses for the project site.
  • Convey a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of PCI.
  • Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
