Job summary

Performance Contracting Group seeks a Safety Technician for Denver 583 operations across Aurora, Denver, Windsor and nearby sites in Colorado. The role emphasizes promoting safe work practices, administering the Accident Prevention Plan, and maintaining safety documentation.

The position is safety-sensitive and will require field presence 50–60 hours per week, with responsibilities including incident investigation, collaboration with site safety managers, and professional safety representation

Qualifications

  • Must have 2-3 years' experience in construction safety
  • Must have OSHA 30 and OSHA 510 certification
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Fall Protection & Confined Space Training experience

Responsibilities

  • Promote safe work practices and instill an injury-free culture across sites and fields
  • Assist with administration of Accident Prevention Plan and safety policies
  • Submit safety reports and documentation on time per client requirements
  • Develop and implement safety policies with site safety manager
  • Investigate and evaluate injuries and illnesses at project sites
  • Be the safety representative of PCI with a professional attitude
  • Build positive relationships with trades, vendors, coworkers, and customers

Job Description

PCI is seeking a Safety Technician for its Denver 583 operations located around multiple sites based in Colorado including, Aurora, Denver, and Windsor. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:

Job responsibilities include:
  • Promote safe work practices and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture among all site and field personnel
  • Assist with the administration of PCI's Accident Prevention Plan, policies, and procedures, on jobsites and at the branch through utilization of safety resources such as training and mitigation of unsafe practices.
  • Ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted on time and in accordance with client requirements and expectations
  • Collaborate with site safety manager and field to develop and implement safety policies and procedures as necessary; monitor for effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement when necessary.
  • Responsible for investigation and evaluation of injuries and illnesses for the project site
  • Convey a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of PCI
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with all trades, vendors, co-workers and customers to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.

This position is safety-sensitive.

Hourly Wage: $36-40/hour depending on experience.

Basic Requirements
  • Must have at least 2-3 years' experience in construction safety
  • Must have OSHA 30 and OSHA 510 certification
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Displays strong verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively convey information to employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Previous Fall Protection & Confined Space Training.
  • Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative.
  • Must have provided safety oversight for a minimum of 15 craft in the field.
  • Capable of spending 80% of daily time in the field with craft.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic with labor experience in the field.
  • Able to work 50-60 hour work weeks.
  • Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
  • Physically able to perform assigned tasks
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds independently
Preferred Requirements
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • Degree in Occupational or Environmental Health and Safety is a plus
  • Previous experience conducting safety training is a plus
  • Local to Denver, Co metro Area
