Job summary

Performance Contracting, Inc. (PCI) seeks a Branch Safety Engineer for its Dallas 114 operations based in Midlothian, TX. The role focuses on promoting safe work practices, supporting the Accident Prevention Plan, and leading safety initiatives across the branch and on jobsites.

You will inspect sites, train personnel, manage injuries, and ensure timely reporting per client expectations, while maintaining professional representation of PCI on-site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in construction safety.
• OSHA 30, OSHA 510 and SSH certifications required.
• Experience conducting safety training.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Strong verbal communication skills with employees, customers, vendors and stakeholders.
• Able to stand/work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe work practices and instill an injury‑free culture for all site and field personnel.
• Assist with administering PCI’s Accident Prevention Plan, policies and procedures using safety resources.
• Represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activities.
• Identify, correct and mitigate safety and health hazards on jobsites and at the branch.
• Ensure safety reports and documentation are submitted on time per client requirements.
• Coach employees to comply with accident prevention plans and procedures.
• Identify, evaluate and mitigate potential safety health hazards.
• Conduct job site inspections and audits to assess compliance.
• Investigate and evaluate injuries/illnesses for the project site.
• Assist in claim management of work‑related injuries.
• Convey a professional and positive attitude as PCI’s safety representative.
• Evaluate and approve safety equipment and PPE.

Job description

PCI is seeking a Branch Safety Engineer for its PCI Dallas 114 operations based in Midlothian, TX.

Job Responsibilities Include

• Promote safe work practices and behaviors to instill an injury‑free culture among all site and field personnel.
• Assist with the administration of PCI’s Accident Prevention Plan, policies, and procedures, on jobsites and at the branch through utilization of safety resources such as training and mitigation of unsafe practices.
• Represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activities.
• Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non‑routine safety and health hazards.
• Ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted on time and in accordance with client requirements and expectations.
• Coach employees to achieve compliance with accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety health hazards.
• Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance.
• Responsible for investigation and evaluation of injuries and illnesses for the project site.
• Assist in claim management of work‑related injuries.
• Convey a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of PCI.
• Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).

This position is safety‑sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• Must have at least 5 years’ experience in construction safety
• Must have OSHA 30 certification
• Must have OSHA 510 certification
• Must have Specialist in Safety and Health (SSH) Certification.
• Experience conducting safety training.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Displays strong verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively convey information to employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders
• Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds independently

Preferred Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
• Degree in Occupational or Environmental Health and Safety is a plus
• Local to Midlothian, TX
