Job summary

DSV - Global transport and logistics in Riverside, USA seeks a Safety Supervisor to lead daily health, safety and environmental support for the facility. You will coach site personnel on safe operating behaviors and design safety programs in line with policy and statutory requirements.

The role requires 3+ years in logistics safety, strong training ability, and proficiency with safety systems and MS Office to drive performance, compliance and incident reduction.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 3 years' experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• Prior experience in safety observations/inspections, developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans.
• Knowledge of safety and health management systems and practices.
• Preferred: Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall safety and security of assigned facility, operations, and staff for the site.
• Maintain safety metrics and ensure compliance with DSV policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement HSE programs and training for site personnel.
• Coordinate with site leadership and regulators on safety issues as needed.
• Lead safety audits and correct deficiencies promptly.
• Oversee workers' compensation claims through closure with safety teams.
