Job summary

Wohlsen Construction seeks a Director of Safety to lead the strategic direction, governance, and culture of the Safety and Health Program. You will partner with Risk Management leadership to advance a culture where safety is a core business value integrated into planning and project execution.

Responsibilities include developing safety strategy, KPIs, and governance, while guiding executive leadership and field teams.

Qualifications

• Senior safety leader responsible for strategy, governance, and culture across the organization.
• Requires experience shaping safety programs aligned with business objectives.
• Strong regulatory knowledge and risk management discipline required.

Responsibilities

• Set safety vision, strategy, and governance frameworks for the company.
• Lead enterprise risk management and data-driven improvement initiatives.
• Develop safety leadership capability across executives, project leaders, and field teams.
• Develop and sustain safety policies, standards, and systems across the company.
• Monitor safety performance, KPIs, and lessons-learned to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Operations and HR on safety performance and incidents.
• Represent Wohlsen Construction with clients, industry groups, and regulators.
