Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking a Safety Specialist to support operations at its largest North American facility in the Florence, AL area. The role is a hands-on safety resource focused on driving OSHA compliance, risk reduction, and employee engagement on the production floor.

You will partner with operations to lead safety observations, audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions in a high-hazard manufacturing environment, requiring strong communication and the ability to influence

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience in aluminum, steel, metals, or other high-hazard operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety programs, incident investigation, and hazard recognition.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable working in a union manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
