Job summary

LeoForce in Charlotte, NC is seeking a permanent Safety Specialist to lead hazard control, incident investigations, safety audits and program development.

You will develop and monitor safety protocols, deliver training, maintain records, and ensure OSHA compliance across manufacturing operations; requires 5+ years, a Bachelor's in safety or related field, CSP preferred, and travel for site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Safety, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety specialist role within the manufacturing industry.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in hazard control, incident investigations, corrective action tracking, and safety audit processes.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficient in performing JHA/JSA.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to identify and evaluate potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections and participate in audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

• Track and analyze incident data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Maintain safety files and records, ensuring accurate documentation of all safety processes and incidents.
• Promote a culture of safety among employees through education, training, and communication.
• Stay up-to-date with latest safety regulations and best practices in the industry.
