Verità Telecommunications Corporation is seeking a Safety Specialist to promote and enforce a culture of safety across all job sites and operations in Ohio. You will ensure OSHA compliance and uphold company safety policies while working to prevent injuries.

This full-time role requires field travel, strong communication, and meticulous documentation as you lead safety trainings, inspect sites, investigate incidents, and develop corrective actions with operations teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of safety experience in construction, telecom, utility, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards (29 CFR 1926).
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular job site safety inspections and audits.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety regulations.
• Lead safety orientations and ongoing safety training for field employees.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety incidents; prepare detailed reports.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans.
• Maintain safety documentation including OSHA logs and training records.
• Partner with operations managers to reinforce safe work practices.
• Monitor PPE compliance and safe equipment operation.
• Contribute to updating company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in safety committee meetings.

• Experience conducting tailgate meetings and job hazard analyses (JHAs)
• DOT compliance familiarity

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk active job sites
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
