Job summary

SITEGUARD SAFETY SERVICES LLC is seeking a Safety Specialist to run day-to-day safety operations across active projects in Wisconsin. You will be on jobsites daily, collaborating with foremen and project managers to identify hazards, coach crews, and keep documentation airtight.

This role emphasizes hands-on field safety over desk work, including leading toolbox talks, conducting site inspections, and managing safety programs such as fall protection and PPE. Travel between sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of safety experience in construction.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards applied on-site.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between sites daily.
• Ability to communicate credibly with crews, foremen, managers and owners.
• Comfort working around active construction sites in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine jobsite inspections and audits; document findings and drive corrections to closure.
• Lead toolbox talks, new-hire safety orientations, and ongoing crew training.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; complete root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA 300 logs, SDS libraries, training records, and project safety plans.
• Develop and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and pre-task plans.
• Serve as the point of contact for GC safety requirements and third-party audits.
• Manage fall protection, silica, scaffold, aerial lift, and PPE programs in the field.
• Support workers' comp claims management and return-to-work coordination.
• Track leading and lagging indicators and report trends to leadership.

We keep crews safe on active jobsites — not from behind a desk, but in the field where the work actually happens. Our team supports commercial, institutional, and industrial construction projects with practical, boots-on-the-ground safety leadership.

The Role

We're hiring a Safety Specialist to run day-to-day safety operations across our active projects. You'll be on jobsites most of the week, working alongside foremen and project managers to spot hazards before they become incidents, coach crews in the moment, and keep our documentation airtight.

This isn't a paperwork job with a hard hat on the shelf. If you'd rather be walking scaffold and talking to crews than sitting in an office, this is the right fit.

What You'll Do

• Conduct routine jobsite inspections and audits; document findings and drive corrections to closure

What You Bring

Required

• 3+ years of safety experience in construction (self-perform trades a strong plus)
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards and how they apply in the real world
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between jobsites daily
• Ability to communicate credibly with everyone from apprentices to owners
• Comfort working around active construction: climbing ladders, walking uneven ground, all weather

Preferred

• CHST, STSC, OHST, ASP, or CSP certification
• OSHA 500 / authorized outreach trainer
• First Aid/CPR and Competent Person training (fall protection, excavation, scaffold)
• Experience with masonry, concrete, or structural trades
• Familiarity with Procore, ISNetworld, Avetta, or similar platforms
