JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for implementing company environmental, health, and safety programs across all business units and facilities within the Management Area, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, including reporting. Ensures conformity with federal, state, and local standards related to environmental compliance and occupational health and safety (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DEP, DOT, NFPA, ANSI). Handles accident data compilation, abatement, record keeping, safety communication, awareness, and audits of field systems.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate safety and environmental compliance messages effectively to all levels; provide technical support to frontline leadership and employees on occupational safety, environmental compliance, and loss prevention.
- Perform program audits to monitor and improve safety and environmental performance, collaborating cross-functionally with relevant teams.
- Investigate incidents and non-compliance events.
- Assist in collecting and submitting data for environmental permits and reports (e.g., Air Permit reports, Tier II, HMBP).
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies regarding reporting and compliance concerns.
- Participate in or facilitate safety committee meetings as needed.
- Identify operational risks and recommend preventive measures; support programs to control, eliminate, and prevent occupational hazards caused by physical, chemical, biological, or ergonomic factors.
- Keep management informed of safety and environmental performance, hazards, incidents, regulatory inquiries, and guideline changes.
- Maintain safety and environmental records and documentation for the designated area.
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Promote and adhere to company policies.
- Coordinate safety and environmental awareness events, evaluations, program deployment, and related activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge:
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding)
- Proficient with personal computers and software applications
- Ability to work independently
- Basic knowledge of company products, services, fire prevention, OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations, safety & environmental management, auditing, incident investigation, and reporting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Understanding of Field Operations and Field Engineering duties
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record per company standards
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Related Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2+ years in Safety, Environmental, or related fields
WORKING CONDITIONS

Education:
- Associate’s degree in Safety, Health, Environmental, or related field, or equivalent experience; industry/vendor certifications such as OSHA 30, AEP preferred

- Industry experience of 2+ years
