Job summary

Hirebridge is seeking a Safety Specialist to serve as a field-based safety partner for operations, providing practical safety and health support across assigned locations. You will work closely with site leadership to identify risk, strengthen compliance, and improve safety performance while assisting in day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant safety and operational experience may substitute.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA/MSHA requirements and safety principles; DOT/MSHA Part 46/48 experience preferred.
  • Excellent field presence with ability to build relationships, influence leaders, coach employees, and solve problems collaboratively.
  • Experience with safety auditing, incident investigation, hazard identification, corrective actions, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly and work in active industrial and field environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as safety advisor and coach to operational leaders, reinforcing safety ownership by operations.
  • Conducts site visits and field engagement to observe operations, identify risk, and coach teams.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains safety programs, standards, training, and processes per OSHA/MSHA and company requirements.
  • Conducts safety audits, inspections, and assessments; drives corrective actions and sustainable improvements.
  • Supports incident and near-miss reporting, investigations, medical coordination, and workers’ compensation activities.
  • Analyzes incidents and safety data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supports regulatory inspections, documentation, safety records, and emergency plans.
  • Coaches leaders on safety leadership and risk management; ensures consistent safety system use.
  • Travels to assigned locations to provide hands-on safety support for high-risk activities.

Job description

We are looking for a Safety Specialist to join our team. The HCM Safety Specialist serves as a field-based safety partner for operations, providing practical safety and health support across assigned locations. This role works closely with site leadership and frontline teams to identify and reduce risk, strengthen compliance, improve safety performance, and support the safe execution of day-to-day operations.

A significant portion of this role is spent visiting and supporting operating locations, building relationships with employees and leaders, observing work, coaching safe practices, and helping sites develop practical solutions to safety and operational challenges. Regular travel to assigned locations is required.

About the Role
Responsibilities

  • Travels regularly to assigned locations to provide visible, hands‑on support to operations and assist with higher‑risk activities and business needs.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
About You
We Require:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant safety and operational experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong knowledge of safety principles and applicable OSHA/MSHA requirements; DOT, MSHA Part 46/48, and other relevant regulatory experience preferred.
  • Strong field presence with the ability to build relationships, influence leaders, coach employees, and solve problems collaboratively.
  • Experience with safety auditing, incident investigation, hazard identification, corrective actions, and regulatory compliance.
