Eckerd Connects Job Corps in Albany, GA is seeking a Safety, Security & Transportation Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, ensure the safety of students, staff and center property, and coordinate with local law enforcement.

The role includes evaluating staff, scheduling 24/7 coverage, developing safety and disaster plans, enforcing OSHA standards, and maintaining compliance with program policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Must pass a drug screen in compliance with our policy.
• Employment contingent upon successful nationwide background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day operations of Safety, Security & Transportation to ensure safety for students, staff, and property.
• Evaluates staff performance, provides training, and implements personnel changes as approved.
• Develops and monitors staff schedules for 24/7 coverage.
• Develops and maintains Safety and Disaster Plans, including weather-related evacuation planning.
• Establishes safety, security, and fire prevention policies compliant with regulations.
• Represents the center and liaises with law enforcement in the community.
• Monitors facilities to ensure OSHA standards compliance.

Annual Salary: $50,563.20

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Safety, Security & Transportation Manager supervises the day-to-day operations of the Safety, Security and Transportation department to provide maximum safety and security for students, staff, center property and the surrounding community.
• The Safety, Security & Transportation Manager evaluates staff performance and provides staff training and implement departmental personnel changes as approved by the Center Director.
• Develop and monitor staff schedules for 24-hour, 7 day a week coverage.
• Develop and maintain Center Safety Plan, and Emergency and Disaster Plan (and weather-related Evacuation Plan) and conduct the yearly risk assessment survey.
• Establishes and communicates safety, security, and fire prevention policies with pertinent center and DOL regulations to students and staff.
• Serves as the center’s representative and maintains effective liaison with law enforcement agencies in the community.
• Responsible for monitoring all center facilities to ensure compliance with OSHA Standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, police science or related field preferred.
• Three to five year’s work-related experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
