We have an immediate opening for a full time Security Officer to serve our Safety and Security Department.

SHIFT:

BASIC FUNCTION:

• The Security Officer maintains a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff
• Conducts patrols of building and grounds to detect security breaches, safety, and fire hazards
• Patrols each floor of the buildings and secures all unoccupied offices and areas
• Ensures buildings and occupants are maintained in a safe and secure environment
• Controls traffic in front of MRC to ensure parking for emergency vehicles, outpatients and visiting physicians
• Controls access of unauthorized personnel to restricted areas and closed offices when unoccupied
• Enforces all Security policies to ensure that unsafe conditions or activities are corrected
• Assist Safety Officer in hospital wide safety training

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma
• Two years experience in Safety/Security or Law Enforcement
• Class D or above drivers license; CDL must be obtained within first year of employment
