Job summary

CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, AZ seeks a Safety & Security Manager to lead all safety and security for the property, develop emergency procedures, and oversee life safety compliance. The role includes partnerships with local law enforcement and managing in-house and third-party security teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in safety/security in hospitality, strong leadership, and knowledge of fire/life safety systems. Flexibility for evenings and on-call shifts is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in safety, security, or risk management, ideally in hospitality or resort.
• Experience leading and training a team.
• Working knowledge of fire/life safety systems, emergency response, and incident reporting.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management, and accountability for all safety + security across property.
• Develop and lead emergency response procedures.
• Maintain Fire/Life Safety equipment and keep it compliant.
• Manage and train Safety & Security practices for guests, team members, and property.
• Manage the safety and security of team members, guests, and company assets, including assisting in investigations when needed.
• Provide safety + security partnership for all departments.
• Establish + maintain strong partnerships with local law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, security professionals etc.
• Consistently evaluate policies/practices to identify short term + long term goals + needed policies.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance of property units (including bikes, golf carts, cars, trucks etc.).
• Champion key watcher devise and key control through property.
• Oversee/train and manage any 3 rd party security teams or safety vendors.
• Support other Facilities teams when applicable.
