Job summary

CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, AZ seeks a Safety & Security Manager to lead all safety, security, and risk management across the property. You'll develop emergency procedures, oversee life safety systems, and partner with guests, teammates, and local agencies.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in hospitality security, proven team leadership, strong judgment, and CPR/First Aid certification. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and on-call duties is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in safety, security, or risk management in hospitality.
• Experience leading and training a team.
• Working knowledge of fire/life safety systems, emergency response, and incident reporting.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Sound judgment, discretion, and clear communication with guests and team members.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management, and accountability for all safety + security across property
• Develop and lead emergency response procedures
• Maintain Fire/Life Safety equipment and keep it compliant
• Manage and train Safety & Security practices for guests, team members, and property
• Manage the safety and security of team members, guests, and company assets, including assisting in investigations when needed
• Provide safety + security partnership for all departments
• Establish + maintain strong partnerships with local law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, security professionals etc
• Consistently evaluate policies/practices to identify short term + long term goals + needed policies
• Oversee vehicle maintenance of property units (including, but not limited to bikes, golf carts, cars, trucks etc..)
• Champion key watcher devise and key control through property
• Oversee/train and manage any 3 rd party security teams or safety vendors
• Support other Facilities teams when applicable.
