Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated, a global leader in flavor, is seeking a Quality Systems Manager IV for the Flavor Manufacturing Center in Hunt Valley, MD. You will lead the Quality Management System, manage audits, and drive corrective actions while partnering with engineering and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes training, documentation, recall procedures, and compliance with GMP and food safety regulations. A strong background in food science and PCQI certification is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field; PCQI certification preferred.
• Experience leading teams or managing direct reports.
• Strong knowledge of food safety programs and required documentation.
• Experience with GFSI and auditing processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance, and auditing of plant Quality systems and customer-driven programs.
• Lead internal Food Safety Team and maintain all aspects of Food Safety program.
• Manage audits (internal, mock, 3rd party, customer, regulatory, vendor) and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee annual Quality Program training needs and schedule plant-wide.
• Provide customer documentation (Certificates of Analysis, reports) and act as primary GMP/food safety trainer.
• Maintain recall program and conduct traceability exercises.
• Ensure GMP compliance via audits, verifications, and validations.
• Collaborate with engineering on change management for projects.
• Assist in managing non-conforming goods and communication with Quality and Food Safety teams.
