Job summary

NEW Cooperative is seeking a safety-focused professional to join our team in Fort Dodge, IA. You will inspect facilities, identify hazards, and support actions that keep employees safe and compliant with OSHA standards.

Responsibilities include documenting safety violations, conducting trainings, and partnering with location managers to foster a culture of safety. A bachelor’s degree in safety and health and 3–5 years in agribusiness are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety and health or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of operational experience in an Agribusiness.
• Awareness of safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to teach and conduct training.
• Possesses problem solving and critical thinking capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate all district locations for safety hazards.
• Provide safety insights to employees and management.
• Support the building and growth of a safety-oriented culture and mindset.
• Document site safety inspections and corrective actions.
• Coordinate & facilitate training/education programs for NEW Cooperative.
• Promote NEW Cooperative through positive, friendly, and professional interactions.
