Sheakley Workforce Staffing in Lorain, OH is seeking a Construction Safety Representative to oversee field safety for roofing operations as the GC’s safety presence on site. This 8-week contract supports a commercial housing roofing project with daily oversight and coordination with subcontractors.

The ideal candidate will bring OSHA 30 Construction Certification, 3+ years of safety experience, and current First Aid/CPR/AED certification to drive hazard analyses, incidents, and safe work

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily field safety oversight for roofing operations.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and compliance with project safety requirements.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor fall protection systems, roofing access, and elevated work activities.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices.
• Coordinate with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
• Support incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain required safety documentation and inspection records.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.
• Serve as the GC's safety presence in the field.

Duration: 8 Weeks (Start: 10/12)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $55/hr

Per Diem: None

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM | 40-50 Hours Per Week

Required Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification
