Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Field Safety Representative to support roofing, scaffolding, coatings, insulation, and painting operations nationwide. You will assist project leadership with inspections, hazard recognition, compliance, and day-to-day safety oversight while traveling to multiple job sites.

The role requires OSHA 30 Construction Certification and 1–3 years of safety experience in commercial or industrial construction, with willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide field safety support for roofing, scaffolding, coatings, insulation and painting operations
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits and hazard assessments
  • Monitor work involving aerial lifts, elevated work, scaffold access and fall protection systems
  • Assist with pre-task planning, toolbox talks and daily safety discussions
  • Identify hazards and work with supervision to develop corrective actions
  • Support safety compliance and documentation for projects
  • Assist with safety orientations and onboarding activities
  • Maintain inspection records and safety documentation
  • Provide coaching to field personnel on safe work practices
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Serve as a visible safety presence on active jobsites
  • Support client safety culture across assignments

Construction Field Safety Representative

Location: Nationwide Travel Projects (Training in Fenton, MI)
Training Start: 10/5
Future Projects: Typically 8-12 Weeks
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $49/hr
Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week During Training and Deployment)
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Mobilization: No Mobilization for Training | Mileage Reimbursed at $0.725/Mile from Home Base (Up to $1,500) for Deployed Projects
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Training Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40 Guaranteed Hours
Deployment Schedule: Typically 6 Days Per Week | 10-Hour Shifts
Additional Schedule Details: Projects may require 7 Days Per Week and 10-12 Hour Shifts during peak construction and shutdown periods.

Required Qualifications

What You'll Be Doing
