Job summary

IB Abel's seeks a Safety & Quality Coordinator to analyze and develop safety plans, risk assessments, and pre-job briefings; keep training certifications current and provide safety leadership across electrical services projects.

Responsibilities include reviewing contract safety requirements, managing documentation, coaching teams on safety standards, and pursuing ongoing professional development and certifications to improve site safety performance.

Qualifications

• Electrical Journeyman classification or Bachelor's degree from four-year college or technical school with 5+ years related safety experience.
• Prior instructor training or experience with instructor certifications preferred.
• OSHA 10/30/500 training as well as OSHA training and development training.
• CSP, CUSP or other related safety certification preferred.
• Confined Space Entry Trainer and CPR/First Aid Instructor desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Quality Planning and Compliance - Review contract documents to understand safety/quality requirements and obligations; ensure thorough preconstruction safety planning and provide guidance during preconstruction; facilitate Site-Specific Safety Plan review with Project leadership.
• Documentation and Record Management - Upload Safety & Quality documents to SharePoint/server for customers, vendors, and subcontractors; maintain organized records for compliance and communication.
• Communication, Coaching and Collaboration - Communicate safety requirements to ensure understanding and compliance; attend project meetings representing the company on safety/quality matters.
• Continuous Improvement and Professional Development - Stay current on industry standards and pursue professional certifications and training.
