Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Science with relevant experience.
• Proven experience in safety management and leading safety initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive decisions.
• Excellent planning, organizational and project management abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, standards and best practices.
• Strong facilitation, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence, lead and manage diverse teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; interpersonal skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of corporate safety programs and guidelines aligned with business objectives.
• Conduct safety training and awareness programs for employees and leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into operations and projects.
• Assess gaps in current programs and implement mitigation plans.
• Oversee safety vendors and consultants as needed.
• Monitor safety metrics, analyze data, and propose improvements.
• Build relationships with external safety organizations and regulatory agencies.
• Manage the corporate safety program budget and expenditures.
• Recruit, develop, train, and retain staff; conduct performance evaluations.
• Provide leadership and ensure adherence to policies; QA/QC and safety policy compliance.
