Job summary

JBS USA in Texas seeks an EHS Specialist to lead safety and regulatory compliance efforts across facilities. You will plan, implement and monitor programs to protect workers and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include conducting incident investigations, safety training, audits, and coordinating with regulators. Extensive experience with government regulations and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in the application of government regulations and ability to communicate with local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.

Responsibilities

• Sequence of Basic Job Steps
• Ensure all workers have proper tools, safety equipment required at the beginning of the shift.
• Walk areas several times ensuring all safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Industrial Hygiene Readings.
• Conduct Safety Rep & New hire meetings Weekly.
• Provide Initial & Annual Safety Training as needed.
• Complete all appendices for Safety Programs as required.
• Conduct Investigations for Safety Violations.
• Conduct Incident Investigations and follow up on SIRs
• Emergency Response
• Conduct audits with contractors.
