Job summary

UIDC is seeking a Safety Coordinator to develop, implement, and oversee the Safety Program across all UIDC properties. You will collaborate with leadership to maintain a compliant workplace by conducting inspections, documenting incidents, supporting training, and assisting in hazard mitigation.

Responsibilities include maintaining OSHA logs, supporting Workers’ Compensation processes, and ensuring compliance with Tribal Ordinances and UIDC policies while delivering training and serving as the

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in safety coordination or similar safety-focused role.
• Associate degree in Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred; relevant work experience may substitute for a degree.
• OSHA 30 required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and implement UIDC’s Safety Program across all properties.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate and deliver safety and health training across UIDC properties; document attendance and materials.
• Investigate workplace incidents to identify root causes and support corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain OSHA logs; manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and regulatory records.
• Support Workers’ Compensation processes and light-duty coordination.
