Job summary

Umpqua Indian Development Corporation (UIDC) is seeking a Safety Coordinator to drive the Safety Program across UIDC properties. The role collaborates with teams to inspect, document incidents, and support training and hazard mitigation.

The position requires OSHA awareness, incident investigations, and records maintenance, with a focus on regulatory compliance and worker safety. A strong safety background and valid driver’s license are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in safety coordination or similar role.
• Associates degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• OSHA 30 preferred or required.
• Food Handlers License required.
• Forklift Train-the-Trainer certification or ability to obtain.
• Strong verbal and written communication required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety training software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain UIDC’s Safety Program across all properties.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate and deliver safety and health training, including OSHA topics and PPE.
