Job summary

PowerGrid Services, LLC is seeking an on-site safety professional to lead audits, develop and maintain safety programs, and ensure regulatory compliance across field operations in Indiana.

The role requires strong communication, incident investigation, and training delivery. You will collaborate with the safety team, manage drug-screen processes, and help implement enhanced PPE requirements to protect workers on projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in occupational safety or related field.
• Experience in workplace safety, risk management, or compliance.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Knowledge of safety auditing and incident reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular, on-site crew audits and communicate / track findings.
• Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs and procedures.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Deliver safety training and orientation programs for employees.
• Assist in verifying and tracking safety training certifications on multiple third-party platforms.
• Ensure safety standards, site-specific training, enhanced PPE requirements are adhered to.
• Participate in conducting approved training by management.
• Assist in managing drug screens for project compliance; provide guidance on abnormal results.
• Report all field related incidents promptly.
• Attend weekly safety team meetings.
• Provide updates on projects (manpower counts, training, PPE requirements).
• Work with safety team to identify hazards and create mitigation plans.
