Job summary

Mike Hudson Dist. seeks a Midwest Safety Coordinator to promote and maintain a safe work environment across Midwest operations. You will develop, implement, and oversee safety programs, training, and policies to ensure OSHA/DOT compliance and strong safety culture.

The role collaborates with Transportation, Warehouse Operations, HR, and Leadership, conducts risk assessments, and travels between facilities to support initiatives and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years safety experience in transportation, distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or related industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations and best practices.
• Experience developing and implementing safety and risk management programs.
• Certified Safety Trainer designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and training across Midwest operations.
• Partner with Transportation, Warehouse Operations, HR, and Leadership to foster safety culture.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Collect, analyze, and report safety metrics to drive improvements.
• Provide safety training and coaching to employees at all levels.
