Job summary

Terracon, a leading consulting engineering firm, is seeking a Safety Professional to administer and monitor safety and health programs for an Operating Group. Responsibilities include coordinating safety programs, providing safety information, training program development, and managing workers' compensation claims.

You will work closely with Safety Professionals to create and audit programs, serve as a safety contact, and oversee driver safety and radiation safety compliance across field

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety or related field or 4 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of accident prevention and risk management
• Familiarity with OSHA construction safety regulations
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history

Responsibilities

• Work with Safety Professionals to create, manage, train, and audit safety programs
• Serve as the point of contact for safety and health issues needing assistance
• Administer the driver safety program
• Manage workers’ compensation claims with the third-party administrator
• Act as radiation safety officer and ensure radiation regulatory compliance
• Monitor Local Safety Coordinators and audit submittal/inspection requirements
• Develop and present safety training materials and programs
• Assist in safety program improvements and policy revisions
• Follow safety rules, participate in pre‑task planning, report safety concerns to management
• Maintain quality standards on all projects
