Job summary

NewRange Copper Nickel is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support and implement emergency response measures, risk management programs, and occupational safety and health standards. You will assist in audits, incident investigations, and training, while coordinating with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.

The role emphasizes maintaining a proactive safety culture, working across departments, and adapting to evolving site conditions, with travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience in health and safety.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety laws.
• Mining industry experience preferred.
• Experience in risk assessment and emergency response is an asset.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day activities of the Health & Safety Department.
• Perform regular inspections and safety audits to identify hazards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety and health programs.
• Assist in incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Liaise with MSHA and other agencies to ensure compliance.
• Provide safety training to employees and contractors.
• Champion safety culture and company values.
