Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Safety Partner for the Emergency Department. This role supports a safe environment for patients at risk of suicidality or safety concerns during a 7 AM–7 PM day shift.

Full-time (36 hours/week) position located at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital ED in Norfolk, VA. You will participate in orientation and Sentara Safety Partner Training, with required BLS certification within 90 days and de-escalation/physical intervention training within 30 days.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• De-escalation and physical intervention training required within 30 days of hire.
• Prior healthcare experience preferred; otherwise training is provided during orientation.

Our Trauma One Facility is equipped to handle a variety of medical emergencies, and approximately 10% are Trauma related.Requirements:Education:High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)Certification/License:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required within 90 days of hire)De-escalation and physical intervention training (Required within 30 days of hire)Experience:Prior Healthcare Experience or Enrollment in a Health Sciences Program (Preferred) - Applicants without prior experience or current health sciences program status must successfully complete a Sentara Safety Partner Training Course in addition to core competencies during orientation.Keywords: Safety Partner, Healthcare, Clinical Support, Assist, Safe, Patient Sitting, Monitor, Nursing SupportWe provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $17.82 - $25.65 hourly.
