Job summary

Children’s Rescue Fund in Bronx, NY is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the Safety Department, supervise staff, and maintain a secure environment for clients, staff and visitors.

Reporting to the Program Director, you will manage inspections, coordinate with maintenance, assist with CAPs and OTDA audits, and guide incident reporting. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; NYS Security Guard license required.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associates Degree and/or High School diploma or GED.
  • Five years’ experience in a social service setting with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Clean, valid New York State Driver’s license and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the Safety Department staff implements all agency procedures and supervises staff.
  • Reviews logs, reports and incidents to ensure documentation is accurate and timely.
  • Ensures shifts are staffed adequately to maintain security and safety of residents, staff and visitors.
  • Provides training, supervision and coaching to direct reports.
  • Responds to emergencies and ensures procedures are followed when reporting incidents.
  • Liaises with maintenance to keep apartments ready for new families and maintain facility.
  • Gathers documentation for CAPs, RSRI and OTDA inspections in CARES BCS.
  • Represents program during inspections and audits.
  • Proposes procedural/equipment modifications to the Director of Building Operation.
  • Documents staff performance issues and coordinates with HR.
  • Drives clients to viewings and oversees transfers; performs other duties.
