Job summary

Wieland is seeking a Safety & Operations Coordinator for its Warwick, RI location. The role focuses on coordinating the Safety and VPP programs for Wieland Metal Services, communicating with hourly and salary staff, and supporting the Corporate EH&S Manager in key strategies. On-site role based in Warwick, RI.

The candidate will drive safety initiatives, maintain safety documentation, supervise safety teams, and ensure compliance with federal and company policies to foster a culture of safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent a plus.
• Minimum of one year experience in supporting safety and health programs in manufacturing sites.
• Excellent organization and follow-through skills.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Must be detail-oriented and maintain confidentiality of employee information.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain a safety program aligned to OSHA and company guidelines.
• Drive and maintain the VPP Star status initiative.
• Analyze incidents, injuries, and near-misses for safety trends.
• Coordinate safety teams and committees (Ergonomics, Housekeeping, First Responder).
• Provide training and materials to promote safe work practices.
• Monitor compliance with OHSMS and safety policies.
• Coordinate monthly inspections and training for Warwick site.
• Manage Safety Data Sheets and site safety alerts.
