Job summary

Muddy Water Dredging LP is seeking an On-boarding & Safety Compliance Coordinator for our Orange, TX marine yard. You will promote a strong safety culture, coordinate new-employee onboarding, issue PPE, and arrange safety training to keep operations incident-free.

The role serves as a frontline safety resource for yard personnel, contractors, and visitors, ensuring compliance with OSHA/USCG and other maritime regulations, and supporting safety documentation and audits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3+ years of experience in a safety, HSE, or training support role.
• Working knowledge of PPE requirements and general workplace safety practices.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (Preferred).
• Experience in shipyard, marine terminal, or industrial setting (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Safety Assistance & Site Presence: conduct yard walk-throughs and identify hazards.
• Employee On-boarding: facilitate safety orientation and complete onboarding documentation.
• PPE Issuance & Management: issue and manage PPE inventory and records.
• Safety Training: deliver or coordinate required safety training and maintain records.
• Administrative & Compliance Support: assist with audits and reporting metrics.
