Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Nashville, TN seeks a Safety Monitoring Compliance Analyst to monitor carrier safety performance using FMCSA SMS data and VRM metrics. You will run monthly checks, validate data, and maintain case files, elevating issues to leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional or military experience.
• 1+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office products.
• High school or equivalent.
• Experience in data analysis, with the ability to interpret and draw insights from data to inform decision‑making processes.

Responsibilities

• Pull safety data from FMCSA SMS and internal sources on the monthly schedule.
• Validate every record against source data before it goes out, reconciling counts, spot-checking individual records, and documenting each check.
• Maintain SIM and Asana so the current status of every case lives in one place.
• Prepare recurring metrics for business reviews, including suspension and reinstatement counts, exception outcomes, inspection results, and cycle timeliness.
• Maintain procedure documents and recommend process improvements.
• Escalate data discrepancies, new case types, and anything with possible legal exposure.
• Prepare the monthly BASICs and VRM suspension and reinstatement lists against the written thresholds.
• Record every review decision as granted, denied, or pending final review.
