Job summary

Jaquith Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support the Hudson Tunnel Project. The position oversees safety across heavy civil construction, building a culture beyond baseline compliance, and ensures regulatory alignment with FRA/FTA requirements.

The role covers rail-specific safety, site leadership, and a shift schedule in New York/New Jersey, with on-site responsibilities and strong emphasis on safety metrics and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ten years’ experience implementing, monitoring, and managing safety for heavy civil construction projects.
• OSHA 30 certification required; knowledge of 29 CFR 1926 and 1910.
• Experience developing Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and AHAs for federal projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce FRA Roadway Worker Protection requirements (49 CFR Part 214) for all work.
• Lead or support Safety and Security Certification, and maintain required records.
• Develop and report daily safety observations and track corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are closed.
