Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a highly experienced Quality Manager to support the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project in New York. You will review construction work plans, ensure compliance with FTA regulations, and monitor testing and inspections through a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 10+ years in quality management for major rail/ tunnel projects, and advanced certifications (CQM/CQE). A focus on safety and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing quality management systems for large public transportation projects.
• Advanced certifications (CQM/CQE) and training from reputable bodies (ASQ or equivalent).
• Familiarity with FTA Safety and Security certification program during closeout of FTA-funded projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement a quality plan aligned with client requirements and FTA regulations.
• Review contractor's quality plan and assess acceptance against project standards.
• Review contractor's testing and inspection plan for adequacy and compliance.
• Monitor contractor's work for contractual requirements, standards, sequencing and submittals.
• Coordinate and monitor testing and inspection activities per plan.
• Audit contractor's quality plan implementation and verify reporting.
• Organize documentation for the FTA certification process.
