Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Manager in Saint George, SC. This 8-month 1099 contractor role focuses on safety leadership for mechanical construction activities on a data center project.

You will maintain a strong field presence, oversee safety for piping, HVAC, and equipment installation, and ensure compliance with OSHA and project-specific requirements. The position offers a weekly pay schedule and a completion bonus.

Qualifications

• OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 certification or higher safety designation.
• Experience in mechanical construction safety and data center projects.
• Experience supporting piping, HVAC, plumbing or mechanical equipment installation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily safety activities for mechanical construction operations.
• Maintain a highly visible field presence alongside mechanical crews and project supervision.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and risk assessments.
• Monitor mechanical installation, piping, equipment setting, and material handling activities.
• Support safe execution of hot work, welding, cutting, and grinding operations.
• Monitor elevated work, aerial lift, scaffold, and fall protection activities.
• Support crane, rigging, and equipment placement operations.
• Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, lift plans, and pre-task plans.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation; maintain safety documentation.

Construction Safety Manager

Location: Saint George, SC

Duration: 8 Months (Immediate Start)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $50/hr

Per Diem: None

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: 50 Hours Per Week | Five 10-Hour Days | Day Shift

Required Qualifications
