Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to lead safety operations on a large-scale data center project in Saint George, SC. The role emphasizes hands-on field oversight, collaboration with mechanical crews, and proactive hazard mitigation on high-risk activities.

You will ensure compliance with OSHA standards, perform risk assessments, and drive safe execution of piping, HVAC, and mechanical installation tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.

Competenze

• OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 Certification, or Higher Safety Designation.
• Mechanical construction safety experience in data center projects.
• Experience supporting piping, HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical equipment installation.
• CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential is a plus.
• Experience on large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.

Mansioni

• Oversee daily safety activities for mechanical construction operations.
• Maintain a highly visible field presence alongside mechanical crews and project supervision.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and risk assessments.
• Monitor mechanical installation, piping, equipment setting, and material handling activities.
• Support safe execution of hot work, welding, cutting, and grinding operations.
• Monitor elevated work, aerial lift, scaffold, and fall protection activities.
• Support crane, rigging, and equipment placement operations.
• Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, lift plans, and pre-task plans.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation; maintain safety documentation and records.
• Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project.
